Island Ambassador Volunteer Qualifications
To be eligible to serve as an Island Ambassador, one must be a student:
- Currently enrolled at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, who will be enrolled full-time (at least 12 hours) during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Who can speak positively about Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and all of its departments and programs.
- Who can relate well to people on an individual basis; possesses strong interpersonal skills.
- Who can display a professional demeanor.
- With the ability and willingness to present to groups of 20 or more.
- That is reliable, responsible, mature, self-motivated and a quick learner.
- Who is interested in working with and assisting diverse groups of people.
- Who can work effectively as a member of a team in order to accomplish the team’s goals.
- Who must maintain at least a 2.75 GPA at all grading points (Fall & Spring).
- Who works well with minimal supervision and structure.
- Who is able to maintain confidentiality of student’s information obtained verbally or in written form.
